The Source of Experience

If you read this blog on any type of regular basis, you may get the impression I consider myself some sort of expert on the topic of audio and mastering. I’m not sure I can answer that accurately…or objectively. But what you should get (by reading between the lines) is that the source of most of my experience has been mistakes. If I’m an expert, it’s because I’ve learned from them…not that I never make them.
I have the good fortune of taking yoga classes from one of the world’s best-known (and respected) teachers, Tim Miller. Tim’s classes are (among other things) a combination of physical discipline and philosophical concepts to ponder. He said two things recently that stuck with me:
