Opera

When I went to college I had the good fortune of studying music with Dr. Nick Reveles. At the time, he was Music Director at the University of San Diego. About the time I graduated he also left USD to pursue different facets of his career. Today is the Director of Outreach at the San Diego Opera.

As part of that job, he hosts a radio and television show called OperaTalk!, and I hear bits of it on the San Diego NPR affiliate (KPBS) from time to time during opera season.

If you never really “got” opera, you owe it to yourself to listen to some of Nick Reveles’ lectures on the world’s great operas.
