Thoughts on the world of audio recording, mixing, and mastering.

Misleading Information

I am a Waves user…a happy Waves user. Although the plug-ins have been knocked by professional mastering engineers over the years, they have a unique offering of processors in their arsenal, their customer support is great, and their quality continues to improve.

However, when I saw this endorsement on their site it rankled me a bit, as it gives the impression that the tool is the solution.

I’ve said it a million times, but I guess I’ll say it again: software and hardware are tools. None of them includes experience and objectivity in their sale price. Or, a hammer is only as good as the person swinging it.
